The largest manufacturers of green tea in India
The Nahata group is a professionally out of Kolkata ( India) since the early 1930's. The family hails from Rajasthan, a state in north-west India and moved to eastern India in the 1930's to venture into the tea industry.
Our core businesses are divided into two verticals the cultivation and production of tea and development of residential real estate.
The Nahata group has been a long standing player in tea. Today, the group owns and manages six tea estates located in Assam and North Bengal. The plantations are spread across 1600 hectares of land producing over 4 millions kgs of te. Our produce includes CTC ( Crush-Tear-Curl) Black Tea and Green Tea. We are the largest manufacturers of green tea in India producing over 1.5 million kgs of high quality green tea.
The average graden yields are almost 40% more than the all India average. This high achievement level has been made possible by the consistent improvement in the productivity of land, manpower and equipment in an integrated manner. The high yields obtained by the group in its tea estates have been possible through careful husbandry of its tea areas and optimal use of nutrients and fertilizers.
Uprooting/replanting and rejuvenation of tea areas are carried out regularly, and planting is done with high yielding clones which have been propagated in the group's own nurseries.
